Description

Carlos Fonseca (1936 – 1976) was a teacher and librarian as well as one of the key founders of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN). He wanted to follow in the footsteps of the Cuban Revolution by using their guerilla tactics in Nicaragua. Sadly, the FSLN did not manage to shut down the dictatorial rule of the Somozas until 3 years after his death. He was still given the title of National Hero in Nicaragua.
