Description
Throughout the 1980s, the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education promoted technical careers through the Popular Education Collective (CEP). The CEP was derived from the National Literacy Crusade as a kind of follow-up programme to continue promoting education after the literary crusade, and focus more on technical skills, economics, and production. The CEP learning groups were set up the same way as the National Literary Crusade groups and were led by a specially trained graduate of the National Literary Crusade program. This poster was most likely presented in rural areas of Nicaragua in 1987, where 87% of the CEPs were located.
